Who We Are

Alina Parmartham Foundation is a social development organisation working towards a more inclusive and equitable society where women have the knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities to realise their full potential.

We believe that empowering women is essential to building stronger families, resilient communities, and a sustainable future. Our initiatives focus on developing practical skills, encouraging women-led enterprises, facilitating market access, and promoting environmental responsibility.

By connecting women with training opportunities, customers, institutions, corporate platforms, and community networks, we aim to transform potential into meaningful and sustainable outcomes.

Problem Statement

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.

Women from underserved communities often face barriers to economic participation — limited access to vocational training, business opportunities, markets, and professional networks.

A skill on its own does not pay the bills. Without a market link, a first order, or the confidence to price and sell her work, a woman trained in stitching or tailoring often returns to earning nothing.

Around them, households stay away from the support meant for them — health check-ups, nutrition during pregnancy, and the government welfare schemes that rarely reach the last mile.

Alina Parmartham Foundation works at exactly this gap: turning skills into livelihoods, and entitlements into access.

Communities We Work With

From our base in Rahul Kunj, Dallupura, we work with women, families and children across East Delhi and nearby underserved areas.

Women & Adolescent Girls

Women who want to earn but have had little chance to train — building skills in stitching, embroidery, beauty services, basic marketing and digital payments.

Families in Need

Households across East Delhi and nearby underserved areas — health camps, nutrition support for pregnant women, and winter relief for elderly members and children.

Children & Students

Schoolchildren and young people who join us for cleanliness drives, tree plantation, and lessons on water conservation and the environment.

Volunteers, Donors & Partners

Volunteers, donors, corporates, schools and institutions who bring time, funds, skilling, and market access to the field.

The Socio-Economic Landscape of Dallupura

Demographic Realities

According to census tracking, the literacy rate in Dallupura hovers around 65%, but a massive gender divide exists: male literacy stands at 73% compared to just 56% for women.

Urban Village Pressures

As an urban village, Dallupura experiences rapid, unplanned growth. It serves as a low-cost residential hub for daily wage earners, low-skill laborers, and rural migrants. This results in infrastructural strain and a lack of formal job markets within the immediate locality.

The Informal Trap

The vast majority of working women in this area are concentrated in the unregulated informal sector — predominantly working as domestic helpers, micro-scale street vendors, or home-based workers. These roles offer no job security, irregular wages, and no social safety nets.
